Marti Whitehead - Gainesville, Virginia USA

Marti has been drawing and painting since she was a small child, and decided when she was nine years old that she wanted to be an illustrator when she grew up. She studied art with
various teachers and attended The Corcoran School of Art on a scholarship from the Art Director’s Club of Washington, DC.

Her career always focused on being creative and led her to master such skills as hand lettering, gold leaf application, faux painting, wall murals and even custom painting motorcycles, cars and boats.

Currently Marti finds herself returning to her love of fine art. “By creating art that illustrates visions, dreams, prophecy, places or events, I feel I’m on my way to reaching that goal I set as a child. I am most happy when creating, and when my art can tell a story, I am thrilled.”
